Due to the oil spill and the fact that BP has commandeered Cocodrie we will have no choice but to cancel the 2010 Houma Oilman’s Fishing Invitational. We regret that it as come to this but as you all know it is out of our hands. In regards to your sponsorship fees, we can roll these over for next year’s event which will be held May 26, 27 and 28, 2011. As you must know most of our funds have been spent on awards, door prizes and grand prizes. If you prefer to have your fees refunded to you please let me know via e-mail. If you do choose to receive a refund we cannot guarantee that you will have your sponsorship for next year’s event. In the 17 years that we have had this rodeo we have never had to cancel one. We are saddened by this as I’m sure you are. This oil spill has affected so many people including the charities that we donate to every year. Thank you for your consideration.
